Character: white to off-white powder. odorless, slightly bitter taste. The products soluble in acetone, dissolved in methanol or ethanol, in ethanol or chloroform, slightly soluble, very slightly soluble in ether, insoluble in water. Melting point 215-227 ℃.

Usage: Glucocorticoid, Betamethasone, dexamethasone sodium phosphate intermediates. For anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic, for rheumatoid arthritis and other collagen diseases.
