aFGF is a heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. aFGF is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 15.5 kDa containing 141 amino acid residues.
