Brief Introduction:
Aloe-emodin, an anthraquinone derivative,is isolated from the rhizomes of Rheum palmatum.It is an orange crystalline compound,can be used as a laxative.
It performances very strong bacteriostasis properties, its functions mainly via inhibiting the biosynthesis of nucleic acid and bacteria’s breath process.
Aloe-emodin also shows anti-inflammatory and anticancer effects.
