Topiramate is a white crystalline powder. It is a derivative of the naturally-occurring monosaccharide D-fructose. It is freely soluble in acetone, chloroform, dimethylsulphoxide, and ethanol. The solubility of topiramate in water is 9.8mg/ml.
Topiramate is an anti-epileptic drug.
