Apec is the brand name used for copolycarbonates that constitute a further development of the Makrolon polycarbonate produced by Bayer MaterialScience AG. With its unique combination of high heat resistance, toughness, transparency, light stability and flowability, Apec is unlike any other engineering thermoplastic.

The product line based on this new polycarbonate technology includes grades with different levels of heat resistance, extending up to 220°C.

The range of grades contains UV-stabilized and easy-release grades, also a medical grade is available. The product line further contains grades with different flowability.
