The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), an educational leader in Region III (Central Luzon), is situated in beautiful Nueva Ecija, one of the 80 provinces in the country of Philippines. This province composes of 5 cities and 27 municipalities with population of 1,659,883 as of 1May 2000. NEUST has became a symbol of higher learning toward the advancement of vocational and technological education in Central Luzon. As a reputable State University, NEUST qualifications are accepted world-wide, including United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong and many other countries for employment in public sectors and privates corporations, and furthering studies in the foreign universities.

Brief Historial Background

NEUST started as the Nueva Ecija Trade School (NETS) in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija on June7, 1929; converted into the Central Luzon School of Arts and Trades (CLSAT) by virtue of Republic Act No.845 in May 8, 1953; and further converted into NEUST by law as R.A.No.8612 on March 27,1998 as State University.

NEUST is located at Nueva Ecija in the central plain of Luzon, the rice granary of Philippines. It operates in five (5) campuses. The main campus is in the heart of Cabanatuan City, approximately 118 kilometers away from Manila. The other campuses are strategically located in the towns of Gabaldon and San Isidro, in Fort Magsaysay at Palayan City and in Sumacab at Cabanatuan City. Enrolment as of First Semester, 2001-2002 was 12, 887 students with 387 faculty and 182 supporting staff.

NEUST operates in 5 campuses. The NEUST Main Campus is located in Gen. Tinio St., Cabanatuan City on a a 1.93-hectare land within the old provincial capitol adjacent to the provincial government grounds. The following are the satellite campuses of the university:

San Isidro - a 5,500-sq.meter lot situated in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija. An additional 3-hectare lot was acquired in San Isidro in 1998 for the new campus in that municipality.
Fort Magsaysay - an 8.5-hectare lot at Barangay Militar, Palayan City
Sumacab - a 22.9-hectare lot at Barangay Sumacab, Cabanatuan City
Gabaldon - a 263.32-hectare campus lot and 1,200 lectare forest reservation at Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija
Housed at the main campus of the university, the Graduate School has been granted accredited status by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP)
